In a remarkable act of compassion and leadership, the proactive District Chief Executive (DCE) for Central Gonja, Hon Mahama Fuseini, has once again demonstrated his deep commitment to the welfare of his constituents.
His attention was recently drawn to the heartbreaking story of a brilliant but financially challenged young girl from Gawu, residing near the Buipe Bridge. Despite gaining admission to a Nursing Training College, her dreams were nearly dashed due to her inability to pay the required GH₵4,000 admission fees. The situation grew more alarming when it was revealed that the girl, in utter despair, had gone three consecutive days without food.
Deeply moved by her plight, Hon. Mahama Fuseini acted swiftly. He personally paid her full admission fees, thereby eliminating the financial obstacle standing in the way of her future as a professional nurse. Beyond the monetary support, the DCE also presented her with a brand-new, high-quality school bag, offering both practical support and a symbol of encouragement as she embarks on this new chapter.
The family, overwhelmed with gratitude, expressed profound appreciation to the DCE for his timely and life-changing intervention. They offered heartfelt prayers, asking Almighty God to bless him with continued wisdom, strength, long life, and prosperity.
This singular act of kindness has not only rekindled hope for the young girl and her family but has also further solidified Hon. Mahama Fuseini’s reputation as a leader who genuinely prioritizes the needs of his people. His intervention stands as a testament to the transformative power of compassionate leadership, and serves as a source of inspiration for all committed to human development and social support in the district.
