Our Departments
CENTRAL ADMINISTRATION
Central Administration is headed by the Coordinating Director (DCD) and is responsible for ensuring the implementation of governmental policies, projects and programmes at the MMDAs level.
SOCIAL WELFARE
The Social Welfare and Community Development Department shall assist the Assembly to formulate and implement social welfare and community development policies within the framework of national policy.
ENVIRONMENTAL UNIT
The Environmental Health Department is responsible for the provision of facilities, infrastructure Services and programmes for effective and efficient waste management for the improvement in environmental sanitation, the protection of the environment and the promotion of public health.
AGRICULTURE
The agriculture department provides leadership in the development and sustainability of the agro-environment in the district.
WORKS DEPARTMENT
The Department of Works of the Assembly is a merger of the Public works Department, Department of Feeder Roads and District Water & Sanitation Units, Department of Rural Housing and the Works Unit of the Assembly.
PHYSICAL PLANNING
The department of physical planning manages the activities of the town and country planning and parks and gardens.
